Straight-Six Dixie

Straight-Six Dixie: six musicians, congenial and talented, are members of this Dixieland band. Excellent leadership and versatility enable them to present this mix of jazz, traditional and modern blues, stomps, along with polkas, popular standards and novelty tunes.

Straight-Six Dixie have one of the largest repertoire of any Dixie band in the area. While they use some arrangements, each musician has the opportunity to add his own interpretation through improvised solos and ensemble playing.

It's no wonder that Straight-Six Dixie have become favorites of all ages. During the summer you will find them at Gazebos in nearby communities, playing Sunday and evening concerts and festivals. They are known for the joy and the zest for life that they bring to their audiences in nursing homes and retirement communities.
